"What a great and inspiring read this is. I think most autobiographies tend to be either boring or opinionated. Anne tells her life story in a relaxed and friendly style. Even without the gender change, her life has had exciting twists and turns. Add it all together and you have a real page-turner. She never looks for sympathy and instead takes the reader along making you feel like you are her friend and involved in the journey. This book deserves a much larger readership and should be an inspiration to all those who face gender, race, and life issues. Excellent stuff."

"Some books you go looking for. Others just seem to find you. Tall Annie, by Anne Graham, is one of the latter. I’m glad I bought it and very glad I took the time to read it. I’ve never known someone who I knew to be trans. So I really could not understand why anyone would choose that path. This book paints the full picture: the suffering that comes from being born in the wrong body, the motivation for pursuing such a drastic change, the method by which it is done, and the joy of life lived as the person you believe yourself to be.I think the principal reason this book worked for me is because the author wrote about her authentic life experiences. It’s not theoretical. It’s not political. Just the true story of a real human being and her struggle to find peace and joy in life.If you are the least bit curious about what it means to be trans, then I recommend you read it."

"I'd like Anne to be my new be best friend. She is giving the reader a look into life as both a physical male and the woman that she is. We follow her from service in the Navy, everything in between, and to the wonderful, happy life she now lives. I smiled through most of the book and cried at a little. The honesty to the people she works with and for is refreshing. If you have questions about the process of gender reassignment, both physically and mentally, then this is the book for you."
